Mhdb & Bambulete
drum sets. Buying
a drum kit
1st Percussive drum set. 2nd Standard drum
set (permanent loan). 3rd Mhdb drum set
(see above)
What is mostly in the cupboard or on the shelf is
hardly used.
Therefore, everything is set up at home, also because, as with
performances, there is no need to constantly set up and
dismantle it.
This results in the oversized Mhdb drum set.
However, for concerts and sessions outside, it is made smaller
and you always have to be prepared to be able to play on any
size of this drum kit.
-
Buying a drum kit, example
(similar to the standard drum set above, but only two cymbal
stands, December 2024)
- Drum shell set, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_aq2_stage_set_whp.htm.
1349 Euro
- The 22" bass
drum has enough power live and can be dampened in a
quieter studio
- Cast hoops
would produce an even better rimshot, but a snare
with cast hoops would be about four times more
expensive
- Snare
stand, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_ss_1000_snare_stand.htm,
62 Euro
- Hi-hat
stand, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_hh_1000_hi_hat_stand.htm,
105 Euro
- Cymbal
stand, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_cs_1000_cymbal_stand.htm,
75 Euro
- Cymbal
boom stand, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_cbs_1000_cymbal_stand.htm,
85 Euro
- Instead of
a complete stand: Be careful with multi-clamps! This
can cause excess weight, which can bend the stand so
that it can hardly be pushed together. If you do, then
to be on the safe side, only attach it to the top
stand tube, which is usually particularly hardened.
The lower stand tubes can easily become dented
- Double
bass drum pedal, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_dp_4000_double_pedal.htm,
329 Euro
- Drum
throne, https://www.thomann.de/de/sonor_dt_xs_2000_drum_throne.htm,
139 Euro
- Ride
cymbal, https://www.thomann.de/de/zildjian_a20_mediumride.htm,
369 Euro
- The end of
a roll on the floor tom can also be a crash on the
ride cymbal
- Crash
cymbal, https://www.thomann.de/de/zildjian_av16_avedis_thincrash_regular.htm,
279 Euro
- Hi-hat
cymbals, https://www.thomann.de/de/zildjian_av13_avedis_newbeat_hihat.htm,
399 Euro
- Drum
bag set, https://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_drumbag_set.htm,
69 Euro
- The round
throne top fits well into the slightly too large
13x11" tom tom bag
- Cymbal
case, https://www.thomann.de/de/thon_beckencase.htm,
129 Euro
- To prevent
scratching between the cymbals: homemade inexpensive
cloths, each 59 x 59 cm, with a hole for the centre
post
- Hardware
bag, https://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_hwb44_hardware_bag.htm,
39 Euro
- 3428 Euro
(plus sticks, carpet, etc)
